At Night

2020 – 2021

The works exist in an in-between state, between visibility and darkness, closeness and uncertainty. Nature appears here not only as something beautiful, but as something mysterious, uncanny, and at times brutal.
The forms seem to breathe; leaves and branches radiate a subtle, alert presence.
In this analog series, plants and natural forms rise from the darkness like watchful, attentive beings.
The photographs are taken during the day, yet captured in a way that allows only minimal light to enter. Through this deliberate manipulation of analog film, large parts of the image remain concealed in darkness. What becomes visible are only fragments: plants, surfaces, structures, while everything else disappears, remains hidden, and takes on an almost threatening quality.
The series refuses a clear narrative. It presents organic nature as something fleeting and ephemeral, yet also cruel. A quiet, dark atmosphere runs through the works, melancholic and still, carried by a latent tension, as if nature were guarding a secret that can only be sensed through its presence.
